Anthony is the Head of the Retail Life Division, which supervises around 70 UK life insurers of all types and sizes.  Prior to taking that position, Anthony has held a number of roles across Supervision and Policymaking on both the Banking and Insurance sides. 
Most recently he was heavily involved in the design of the Solvency UK set of reforms.  
Before joining the Bank of England, Anthony was Director of Group Risk at Prudential responsible for Operational Risk, the ERM Framework and Risk Governance and a member of the Executive Risk Committee. Anthony is a qualified Life Insurance Actuary and started his career in Actuarial Consulting.
