Joshay Harkoo is a Director within Marsh’s Investment business, where he is responsible for developing insurance client solutions and helping insurers navigate strategic, investment, and regulatory challenges. He brings over a decade of experience across global asset management and insurance balance sheet management, with particular experience supporting mutual and community-focused insurers on multi-asset investment strategy and advisory solutions.

Joshay has worked with organizations across the mutual sector, helping them balance long-term financial resilience with the values that make mutuals distinctive – strong member focus, community connection, and a clear sense of purpose. Most recently, he led the transformation of a global asset manager’s insurance offering from a traditional investment proposition into a strategic advisory and solutions platform, building a dedicated cross-functional team spanning portfolio management, ALM, quantitative research, and client strategy.

He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK and a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa. Joshay holds a Bachelor of Business Science in Actuarial Science and Quantitative Finance from the University of Cape Town.
